HI2000 结构配置:机柜布局与组件布置

阅读时间 5 分钟

When you're planning a 微型模块化数据中心, the HI2000 structural configuration is where everything starts. Get the cabinet layout wrong and you'll fight cooling and cable management for years. Get it right, and the system runs quietly, efficiently, and without constant adjustments. This guide walks through the key decisions—cabinet arrangement, component placement, cooling and power integration—so you can deploy with confidence.

HI2000 cabinet layout and component placement

What Is the HI2000 Structural Configuration? #

The HI2000 is a modular rack system designed for edge and enterprise micro data centers. Its structural configuration refers to how the physical cabinets, cooling units, power distribution, and cable pathways are arranged within a single enclosure or row. Unlike traditional rooms, the HI2000 packs everything into a compact footprint—typically 600 mm wide racks with integrated cooling and power.

In practice, you're balancing three things: thermal management, power delivery, and serviceability. A typical HI2000 module holds 6 to 12 racks, depending on IT load. Each rack can support up to 15 kW of compute, but that number drops if you don't plan airflow properly. The structural layout determines how effectively cold air reaches server inlets and hot air returns to the cooling unit.

Cabinet Layout Options: Row, Cluster, or Standalone #

You've got three main layout choices for the HI2000 structural configuration. Each suits a different deployment scenario. Let's compare them.

Layout最适合ProsCons
Standalone (single rack)Small offices, retail, remote sitesLowest cost, easy to install, minimal footprintLimited capacity (up to ~15 kW), no N+1 redundancy
Row (multiple racks in a line)Enterprise edge, colocation, medium IT loadsHigher capacity (up to 100 kW per row), shared cooling, better redundancyRequires more floor space, more complex cabling
Cluster (grouped racks with shared infrastructure)Large edge sites, cloud PoPs, high-density computeHighest density, efficient cooling, scalableHigher upfront cost, needs careful thermal design

For most deployments, a row layout is the sweet spot. It gives you room to grow without the complexity of a full cluster. But if you're only running a handful of servers, a standalone unit might be all you need. The short answer: match the layout to your IT load and future growth plans.

Component Placement: What Goes Where #

Inside the HI2000, component placement follows a simple logic: keep hot and cold air separate, keep power close to loads, and keep service access easy. Here's a typical breakdown.

Cooling Units #

Cooling units sit at the end of a row or are integrated into the rack itself. In-row coolers are common—they draw hot air from the rear and discharge cold air into the front aisle. For a 30 kW row, you'd typically use two 15 kW cooling units in an N+1 setup. That way, if one fails, the other keeps the IT gear within acceptable temperature ranges—usually 18–27°C at the server inlet, per ASHRAE guidelines.

Power Distribution #

PDUs (Power Distribution Units) mount vertically in the rear of each cabinet. A 42U rack can hold two PDUs—one for each side—to support dual-corded servers. For a 10 kW rack, you'd want a 30 kVA PDU to allow for headroom and future expansion. The HI2000 supports both single-phase and three-phase input, depending on your site's power feed.

Cable Management #

Cable trays run above the racks or between rows. In the HI2000, vertical cable managers are built into the sides of each cabinet. Fiber and copper should be separated to avoid interference. Label everything—it sounds obvious, but it saves hours during maintenance.

Cooling and Power Integration: Real Numbers #

Let's talk numbers. A typical HI2000 row with six racks, each holding 10 kW of IT load, has a total IT load of 60 kW. With a PUE of 1.5, the total facility load is 90 kW. That means your cooling system needs to handle 30 kW of heat rejection. If you're using air-cooled in-row units, you'll need 关于 12 kW of 制冷量 per unit, assuming a 2.5 kW per ton efficiency. For water-cooled systems, the numbers shift—you might get away with less floor space but need a chilled water supply.

Temperature matters. The HI2000 can operate in ambient temperatures up to 40°C, but that's the extreme. For most sites, you'll want to maintain a supply air temperature of 22°C to keep server fans from spinning up and consuming extra power. Every degree of increase in inlet temperature can reduce cooling energy by 2–3%, but only if your servers can handle it. Check your server specs before raising the setpoint.

Step-by-Step Deployment Checklist #

Before you start bolting racks together, run through this checklist. It'll save you from rework.

  1. Assess floor loading: Verify the subfloor can support the weight of fully loaded racks (each rack can weigh up to 800 kg).
  2. Plan for service access: Leave at least 1 meter of clearance at the front and rear of each rack for maintenance.
  3. Design airflow direction: Decide on hot aisle/cold aisle containment. In the HI2000, cold air is supplied from the front, hot air exhausted to the rear.
  4. Size the cooling units: Calculate heat load (IT load + losses) and add redundancy. Use the formula: Cooling capacity (kW) = IT load × (PUE – 1) + IT load.
  5. Position PDUs: Mount PDUs at the rear, alternating left/right for balanced power distribution.
  6. Run cables: Install overhead cable trays or underfloor ducts. Keep power and data cables separate by at least 30 cm.
  7. Label everything: Use color-coded labels for power, network, and cooling connections.
  8. Test before commissioning: Power up the cooling units and verify airflow direction. Measure inlet temperatures at the top, middle, and bottom of each rack.

A well-planned HI2000 structural configuration is invisible—it just works. Poor planning shows up as hot spots, tripped breakers, and frustrated engineers.

Maintenance and Safety Considerations #

Maintenance is easier when you design for it. In the HI2000, cooling units are front-serviceable, meaning you can replace filters and fans without pulling the unit out. Power components, like breakers and PDUs, are accessible from the rear. Schedule quarterly checks: clean filters, verify refrigerant levels, and tighten electrical connections.

Safety isn't just about electrical grounding—though that's critical. The HI2000 includes smoke detectors and an emergency power-off (EPO) button. Make sure your staff knows where the EPO is and how to use it. Also, consider seismic anchoring if your site is in an earthquake-prone area. The HI2000 can be bolted to the floor with optional brackets.

常见问题解答 #

Can the HI2000 be deployed in a room without raised floors?

Yes. The HI2000 is designed for both raised and non-raised floor environments. Cooling units can be configured for front-to-rear airflow, so you don't need underfloor plenums. Just ensure the room has adequate ventilation.

What is the maximum IT load per rack in the HI2000?

The HI2000 supports up to 15 kW per rack, but that depends on your cooling setup. With in-row cooling and proper containment, you can sustain 10–12 kW reliably. Above that, you might need liquid cooling or higher-capacity units.

How do I achieve N+1 redundancy in the HI2000?

For cooling, install one extra cooling unit than the calculated requirement. For power, use dual PDUs and dual UPS feeds. The HI2000's modular design makes it easy to add components without shutting down existing IT gear.

Does the HI2000 support hot aisle containment?

Yes. You can add containment panels and doors to create a sealed hot aisle. This improves cooling efficiency and can lower PUE by 0.1–0.2 compared to open aisles.
